SPECIFICATION
 

Model MP-102E is a PUBLIC ADDRESS PRE-AMPLIFIER CASSETTE PLAYER. It operates on

220V AC mains & 6-12V DC as well as on 4-UM1 CELLS. Please read following

instructions carefully for proper operation and optimum utilization of amplifier.

 
  FEATURES

  • Can also operate on 6V as well as on 12V battery. Protection against accidental reverse battery provided.
     
  • Can also operate on 4-UM1 torch cells also. Protection against accidental reverse cells

  • Hassle free operation. No on/off switch has been provided. On AC the set will be ON when AC lead is connected and off when AC lead removed.

  • 250mV output enables it to be connected directly to Aux. of amplifiers.

 
  DESCRIPTION

Model MP-102E is a compact Cassette Player Pre-Amplifier specially designed for use in combination with any P.A. Amplifier like any of our Models RSB-80E, RSB-110E, RSB-160E, RSB-300E etc. or with Booster Amplifiers like our model RB-300E or RPA-5000M for playing recorded Music.

This operates on 220V AC Mains and 6-12V DC or Car Battery as well as on 4-UM1 torch cells. A very special feature of this is its ability to operate perfectly over 6V to 12V DC supply source.

LED light shall glow as soon as any power source is connected to the unit indicating that it is ‘ON’.

Automatic changeover from AC to DC or cells, in case of AC failure. When both AC lead & DC or cells are connected to the unit and AC supply fails, then unit will automatically draw power from DC or cells.

It employs a sturdy, top quality Top Loading Tape Deck Mechanism fitted with a superior quality motor and a special quality head. AUTO-STOP facility is provided. Other features include REVIEW-CUE and PAUSE facility.

The unit is provided with 250mV Output to make it suitable for use with most of the amplifiers and boosters.

 
  PRECAUTIONS
  • Place the unit to the left of Power Amp. to avoid hum.

  • It is advised to remove AC lead from AC mains socket as soon as use of the unit is over.

 
  CASSETTE DECK PRECAUTIONS
  • Before inserting Cassette in the compartment, make sure there is no loose tape inside the body of the cassette. Keep the exposed tape portion facing towards you.

  • Use good quality cassette tapes only for best results.

  • Due to continuous use Cassette tape Head and pinch roller gets dirty, clean it softly with a cotton bud dipped in methylated spirit. Or take help of your dealer to clean the head and other parts.

 
  OUTPUT
Output of 250mV has been provided through J-2 socket. Connect a JP-JP3 lead from this socket to 150mV or 200mV Aux./Line of a P.A. Amplifier or a booster. However, its output can also be connected to 50mV or 100mV Aux. inputs of amplifier.

 
  AC MAINS OPERATION
Insert AC lead to nearest AC socket. Connect power amplifier by connecting JP-JP3 lead from J-2 socket at the back. Keep amplifier controls at desired position. For best performance, keep ‘MASTER’ control of amplifier at ‘7’ and control the output through respective ‘AUX’ control.

 
  AC MAINS OPERATION

Any 6V-12V Car battery or any other DC power source can be connected to the Battery strip at the backplate. Be sure to connect positive pole of battery to + terminal (red wire) and negative pole to – terminal (black wire).

If Car battery operation is not desired, insert 4-UM1 cells in the cell tray inside the cover. However, it is advised to remove cells if unit is not in operation.
