Model CP-50 is a PUBLIC ADDRESS / STEREO PRE-AMPLIFIER CASSETTE PLAYER. It operates on 220V AC mains & 12 to 24V DC.

DESCRIPTION
|
Model CP-50 is a multi-utility compact Cassette Player Pre-Amplifier specially designed for use in combination with a Two-Zone Amplifier like our Models RTZ-1600, RTZ-4000 etc. or with Booster Amplifiers like our model RB-300E or RPA-5000M for playing recorded Music.
This operates on 220V AC Mains and 12-24V DC or Car Battery. A very special feature of this is its ability to operate perfectly over 12V to 24V DC supply source.
It employs a sturdy, top quality Front Loading Tape Deck Mechanism fitted with an electronically governed motor and a special quality head. AUTO-STOP facility is provided. Other features include REVIEW-CUE and PAUSE facility.
The unit is provided with 500mV Stereo Output to make it usable with most of the amplifiers and boosters. The Noise Filter switch helps to cut the HF noise.
The left & right LED arrays are provided to monitor STEREO output level. The balancing of L & R can be done by individual level controls.
Stereo Headphone jack is provided at the back plate. |

| PRECAUTIONS |
- Place the unit to the left of Power amplifier to avoid hum.
- Before inserting Cassette in the compartment, make sure there is no loose tape inside the cassette. Keep the exposed tape portion facing down.
- Use good quality cassette tapes only for best results.
- Due to continuous use Cassette tape Head and pinch roller gets dirty, clean it softly with a cotton bud dipped in methylated spirit. Or take help of your dealer to clean the head and other parts.

| OUTPUT |
| Output of 500mV has been provided through two way RCA jack (L&R). Connect this to Aux./Line or Stereo Input of a Two-Zone amplifier or a booster. The output is continuously variable with the level controls provided at the front. When using with a Mono amplifier, switch mode operation to Mono and any output L & R can be fed to the Aux./Line input of any amplifier. |

| AC MAINS OPERATION |
| Firstly keep both L & R controls to ‘0’. Insert AC lead to nearest AC socket. Press On/off switch The two ON LED shall glow. Connect power amplifier by connecting two leads from L & R RCA sockets at the back. Keep L & R level controls at say pt ‘5’. Keep amplifier controls at desired position. For best performance, the amplifier volume control should be kept above center position and overall volume should be controlled by L & R level controls of this unit. If any hum is observed, connect the earth terminal of the amplifier be connected to the earthing terminal of this unit. |

| BATTERY OPERATION |
| Any 12V-24V Car battery or any other DC power source can be connected to the Battery strip at the backplate. Be sure to connect positive pole of battery to + terminal (redwire) and negative pole to – terminal (black wire). The power switch does not control Battery ON/OFF. When both AC and battery leads are connected, then in case of AC failure, the unit will automatically changeover to battery. |
